New Submission Process Announced
We are excited to announce a major update to the submission process for JSE manuscripts! Once on the submission website (https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/ujse) begin by creating an account and then follow the steps in the Author Center to upload your manuscript and complete the required information.
Taylor & Francis will publish the Journal of Statistics Education beginning with the March 2016 issue.
Submission of revised manuscripts should be submitted to JSE@OSU.edu, not through the new process.
If you have questions or problems navigating the new system, feel free to contact Jean Scott, JSE Editorial Coordinator, at JSE@OSU.edu.
Current Issue
The July
2015 (Volume 23, Number 2) issue of JSE is now available. The table of
contents can be accessed at: 2015 Table of
Contents. This issue includes three regular articles, four Data Sets
and Stories articles, two Teaching Bits, and an interview by Allan Rossman
with Ann Watkins.
We hope you
enjoy this issue, and, as always, we welcome your feedback. The next issue
of JSE is due to be announced in November 2015.
Congratulations to the New JSE Editor
Soma Roy from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, will be the next Editor of JSE, and she will begin accepting new submissions starting on September 1, 2015. Soma was originally an Associate Editor for JSE and has most recently been the Data Sets and Stories Editor. We are excited to see the great things that Soma has in store for JSE! Bethany White from The University of Western Ontario will soon take over as the new Data Sets and Stories Editor, and we will also soon announce a brand new JSE submission process through Taylor & Francis. Please stay tuned, in the next couple of months, for more information about the exciting changes ahead for JSE!
The JSE Webinar Series on CAUSEweb
The JSE webinar
series takes place approximately once each month, on the third
Wednesday of the month, from 12 to 1 p.m. (U.S. Eastern time), through the
Consortium for the Advancement of Undergraduate Statistics Education (CAUSE). Authors of papers that appear in JSE
discuss their work and answer questions about their work. Each webinar includes discussion of up to
two papers from JSE. For more
information on webinars that have already taken place, in addition to
upcoming webinars, please visit https://www.causeweb.org/webinar/jse/.
JSE on Facebook and Twitter
To get the word out about JSE and to provide
opportunities for readers to share and discuss articles from JSE, a Facebook
group has been created. If you have
a Facebook account, you can access our new group and request to join by
going to https://www.facebook.com/groups/486553198048126/?ref=ts&fref=ts. Note that you can also simply do a search
within Facebook for “Journal of Statistics Education.” We will use this group to make
announcements related to JSE and to share links to articles that are
published in each new issue. Hopefully, this will also become a place where you can connect with
other statistics educators.
There is also a Twitter account for JSE that you
can follow if you use Twitter (@JStatEd).
